Willenberg Holiday Exchange

On December 9th, Peninsula High School students headed over to the Willenberg school (A career transition center for students with special needs) to continue a beloved annual holiday tradition that has taken place for over 20 years. Service Learning Leadership and Peninsula's ASB worked together to plan the event, coordinating both a large main show for all the students along with individual "traveling acts" that visited each classroom.

The main show included several festive performances from Peninsula's dance teams and drama class along with several student-led musical numbers. Much to everyone's delight, Santa arrived at the finale to pass out gifts. Before and after the main show, groups of Peninsula students visited classes to perform songs, make crafts, play games, and interact with the Willenberg students. Service Learner's packaged and distributed holiday treats to the Willenberg teachers, thanking them for their hard work and wishing them a happy holiday season.

Overall, students and faculty from both schools had a great day together, and Service Learning Leadership looks forward to another joyful visit to Willenberg next year!
